This is my first OnePlus phone. I was considering several options under ₹25K but finally settled on the CE5, mainly because of its large battery, smooth software experience, long-term software support, and solid hardware specs.

After using the Poco F1 and then the Xiaomi 11X, I learned that no matter how good the hardware is, buggy software can ruin the overall experience. My Xiaomi 11X still has capable hardware (SD 870 processor, UFS 3.1 storage, etc.), but frequent lags and freezes due to poor software made it frustrating to use. After 4 years of use, I had planned to keep using it for another year before upgrading, but the display’s touch function suddenly stopped working. Given my poor experience with duplicate screens in the past, I didn’t see any point in repairing it.

For my next phone, my top priority was clean, stable software with long-term support — even if it meant compromising slightly on hardware specs. That narrowed my choice to Samsung, Motorola, and OnePlus. I ruled out Samsung due to the lack of a charger and slow charging speeds, and Motorola for using older storage tech (UFS 2.2) and a less powerful processor.

I went with the OnePlus CE5. The phone has a minimal and premium look, and the software experience has been excellent and smooth so far, there so much to customize. The camera isn’t my main priority, but it’s decent — not great. The massive 7100 mAh battery gives me about 1.5 days of light usage. Still, I’ve seen better backup from other phones with similar-sized batteries, so I’m not sure if the slightly lower efficiency is due to the software or the MediaTek processor.

The AI features are interesting, and I’m still exploring them. The processor is powerful, though I don’t play games, so I haven’t pushed it to its limits. The display is good, but I don’t see any major improvements over my Mi 11X display, except for the Aqua Touch function. No issue in any type of connectivity but wish there should be NFC! Haven’t face any heating issue except charging.

Coming to cons – Single speaker — though I’ve read this is to make room for the larger battery, room for improvements in Camera and battery backup.

I ordered this phone on 17 july and got it on 18 july it was good and fair for its money, using it for the first time made it heat too much but that’s not an issue, after sometime it was good the camera quality was good and the video recording was fair and gaming is excellent for a well balanced phone.

Many reviewers are complaining about the speakers being a single channel.Yes the speakers maybe a little poor but the sound is loud and the quality is ok and it’s missing the haptics and the battery is also good enough.

The another important thing is the UI that it is a combination of both one plus and iOS. The dynamic island copy on this phone is pretty good and the flexibility of Android makes this a phone best of both UI’s and the AI features such as erasing background image optimising it works fine around 8 times out of 10.

If anyone Is looking for alternatives of samsung in under 25k range i recommend this phone for its quality and please don’t compare this to another products because it’s a kind of its own

Battery is amazing. It lasts a full day of heavy usage and you will still left with 25% to 30% at the end of the day. In normal usage it can last for 1.5 days to 2 days.
The performance is also great. The camera works decent. But the speaker quality is not great. As this is a mono speaker. Also the display quality is not that great in terms of sharpness. This is a FHD display only. Not 1.5k resolution. So I believe the display quality could be a lot better.
The build quality doesn’t feel premium. However, it has this mate finish on the back which give it a premium appearance but to the touch it doesn’t feel premium.
Overall I would say its a decent phone for the price. You can go for it if you prefer battery life.

Really good and really impressed with the phone. My previous phone was a moto g72 , which got spoiled because of water damage hence was forced to buy a new phone, after a week of searching for a good phone and after going through lots of reviews and videos my choices , slightly over my budget, was either OnePlus Nord CE5 or iQOO Neo 10R 5g .

Decided to go with Nord CE5 primarily because it has 4 years of software OS and 6 years of security support and also lifetime warranty on the display damage and also because of how the phone looks, it has a simple , understated ,classy, iPhone like feel and look and also because of the cost.

While iQOO neo 10 R , definitely has better specs , but it was way over my limited budget and really did not like how the back over looked and the duration of software and security support is only for 3 years.

    Nord CE 5 –
Camera – good, pretty decent clear pictures, though i haven’t taken any pictures in the night yet.

Speed and touch response – excellent,

Sound – mono speaker , definitely a downgrade when compared to my previous phone moto g72 which had stereo speakers.

No extra added costs – comes with a very nice phone case, also has a 80w charger with cable and there is a thin plastic screen protector already on it, so the only thing that I will have to buy extra is a tempered glass screen gaurd.

Edit – coming to the battery, after using the phone for about two weeks, it drains pretty fast when on 5g mode, i switched over to 4g mode and definitely helped in prolonging the battery life. Lasted for close to two days between charges. Now I use 5g only when required like steaming videos etc .

Fully satisfied with this amazing Gadget. The price is fully reasonable as per the specification provided by one plus. The reason why I shifted from samsung to one plus is the smoothness of Oxygen OS and fast watt supervooc charger by one plus and moreover this phone battery is so good that even if u play games like bgmi and cod it will not lag and heat level is minimum too.I will also buy smartphones of one plus in future too🥳
